Gallery will feature “Explosion of Cool Content”

    Gallery Zeke will reopen to the public on Thursday, October 7 with the return of the “Explosion of Cool Content” abstract exhibit. 

Young continues efforts to help animals

    Local animal rescue enthusiast Mary Young spoke to the Steelville City Council at its September 20 meeting. She reiterated her request for a cat room at the new animal shelter that is currently under construction following the donation of $50,000 she had helped raise while working with the local rescue organization Santana’s Hope 4 Paws. She also asked again about providing space for a surgical room in the new building and explained her recent separation from Santana’s Hope 4 Paws.

Steelville MTB provides update to council

    Aldermen heard an update from the Steelville Mountain Biking Trail Building Collective during the Steelville City Council meeting on Monday, September 20.

Council hears about Spectrum line issues

    Steelville council members are frustrated with a lack of response to potential safety issues caused by low-hanging service lines owned by Spectrum Mid-America, LLC (formerly Charter Communications) in the city. The company has a contract with the city to utilize city utility poles to attach the lines.

Blood drive at SHS is October 26
