The Bourbon High School and Middle School cross country teams ran in Owensville and Columbia last week. Brett Payne and Mia Gebhart brought home first-place finishes from the Columbia meet.
The Cuba Lady Wildcats played in the Eugene volleyball tournament on Saturday and finished third. Cuba was 2-1 for the day.
The Cuba High School Lady Wildcats will open play in the Class 3 District 8 volleyball tournament on Thursday. Cuba has been seeded fourth in the five-team tourney, which is being played at Blair Oaks High School near Jefferson City.
A 34-yard pass play, a 56-yard punt return, a 30-yard pass play, a 66-yard pass play, and a 26-yard interception return amounted to 33 points for Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School last Friday night and it was enough to move the Trailblazers to 5-2. With the 33-20 loss, Cuba fell to 0-8 with just one regular season game remaining.
The Steelville Middle School basketball season is now officially underway. The Lady Cardinals played a pair of home games last week and also recently hosted a seventh-grade tournament.
With a 3-0 win over Belle last week, the Steelville High School varsity volleyball team is now 5-0 in Gasconade Valley Conference play with just three matches remaining. The Lady Cardinals are now 10-6-2 overall.
