Tigers open FRC play with 44-23 victory

    The St. James boys basketball team opened Four Rivers Conference play with a 44-23 victory over the New Haven Shamrocks Monday, Dec. 13 in St. James. St. James is 5-1 overall.

    Both head coaches will probably be rolling their eyes when critiquing the game film. And while it may not have been a clean game from a coach’s view, it was a very, very entertaining one from a fan’s standpoint.

Warhawks win tournament

The Bourbon Warhawks took first place in the Honor Flight Classic Tournament last week for the second straight year at Principia High School.

Wildcats drop two non-conference games

    The Cuba High School boys basketball teams went winless in non-conference action against Union last week. The junior varsity squad, however, rallied on Saturday to beat Dixon for their place in their tournament.

Lady Wildcats fall to St. James

    The Cuba High School varsity girls basketball team had a pair of games on the schedule last week, but only got to play one. The Lady Wildcats fell to St.  James at home on December 6 but had Friday’s game at Dixon canceled.

    The Steelville High School varsity girls basketball team reached the third-place game at the Comet Classic at Fatima High School in Westphalia on Saturday, but came up short against St. James to finish fourth
