St. James replaces Salem with California for football opener

The hope for a normal football season in the area was quickly dashed Monday.
Due to a couple of Salem team members being diagnosed with COVID over the weekend and the other players having been in contact with them, St. James’ scheduled season-opening opponent, the Salem football squad, has been quarantined for 14 days, meaning the school had to cancel its season-opener against St. James.
