GFF returns with huge turnout

    The annual Grape and Fall Festival (GFF) saw huge crowds come out to the various activities last week as the fair returned to St. James. Sponsored by the St. James Chamber of Commerce, the event drew great support every day of the four-day festival, seeing Nelson Hart Park teeming with activity.

Students attend Boys and Girls State

    Three St. James students attended the American Legion Boys and the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State over the summer. Each year, the events are held at the University of Central Missouri to teach students about how government works.

Flag Springs celebrating 75 years

    Flag Springs Church is celebrating its 75th year in St. James, with a planned anniversary party to be held September 24-26. The church was founded in 1946 and has been a staple of the St. James community since its inception.

City recycling program growing

    The St. James recycling program has continued to grow after the city received a grant and purchased new recycling bins for residents to use. The program has continued to see more residents taking advantage of the bins, aiding in the city saving money due to the less tonnage needing to be taken to the landfill.
