Students from the Missouri University of Science and Technology project management class are currently studying several projects throughout St. James, with a goal of developing engineering studies and information on how they could be developed in the future. Students have been broken into teams, with each assigned a project, with their findings to be presented later this year.

The St. James Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Warrior’s Honor Walk in honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11 and is selling American flags for the event. Each flag will have the name of a veteran and will be posted around the walking trail at the Tourist Information Center.
During the September 15 meeting of the St. James Board of Education, discussion was held on the current state of active COVID-19 cases in the district. The board and administrators were pleased with the current state of the district, with cases well below the need for concern of any changes in the Return to Learn Plan.
Seniors Seth Keeney and Anna Lynch were crowned homecoming king and queen on Friday, September 24. Five boys and five girls were in contention for the crown, with coronation taking place prior to the homecoming game.
Paving has started on several St. James streets designated to be addressed this year. One, Primrose Court, had a setback after it was discovered two portions of the road did not have an adequate base and had to be dug up and rebuilt before paving could begin.
