The city of St. James is providing space downtown for residents to hold a citywide yard sale during Old Iron Works on Saturday, October 9. Washington Street will be blocked off for sale booths to be set up all in one location to sell goods.

The Red Regiment Marching Band took first in its class during its opening competition of the year at the Sullivan Marching Festival on Saturday. The band placed eighth overall in finals and took home awards for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Effect.
Several John F. Hodge High School choir students auditioned for district choirs on September 18. Auditions were held at Osage High School and saw 11 students selected to the District Concert Choir and 20 selected to the District Honor Choir.
The James Memorial Public Library (JMPL) is seeing more normal operations after several closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changing over to a new checkout system through Missouri Evergreen this past summer. The facility is now looking ahead to bringing back patrons to enjoy all the library offers.
