Former Bourbon fire chief’s felony case continues

    The case against the former Bourbon fire chief who was charged with assault of a police officer and resisting an arrest following an incident that took place in Bourbon in October of 2020 was moved up to the next level in court following a ruling by Judge Patrick Horsefield on July 28.

County approves EEZ benefits for Bourbon business

    The Crawford County Enhanced Enterprise Zone (CCEEZ) has approved a real estate tax abatement for a factory renovation and modernization project in Bourbon that will include a $250,000 capital investment and the creation of 20 local jobs.

Bourbon School Board receives Governance Team Award

    On June 19, the Crawford County R-1 School District's Board of Education earned the Governance Team Award for the third year in a row. The district is one of only 14 districts, out of 567, across the state to earn this recognition.

Woman charged with assault after striking car with baseball bat

    A woman who allegedly hit another’s car with a baseball bat while an infant was inside stands charged with three felonies as a result of the May 30 incident.
