Federal medical team headed to St. Louis to assist hospital staff following state request  

On Friday, Governor Mike Parson announced a specialized medical team of U.S. military personnel, which includes doctors and nurses, is being deployed to the St. Louis region to support hospital staff strained by COVID-19. The team is expected to be in place at BJC Christian Hospital next week.

Bipartisan commission approves new Missouri House districts

As the Missouri House finalized its version of a new Congressional map Wednesday, a panel of 20 Republicans and Democrats agreed on a new map for the chamber’s 163 seats. The House Independent Bipartisan Citizens Commission voted unanimously to approve the plan, which needed support from 14 members to pass before Sunday’s deadline.

New scholarship provides reimbursement for high school students taking DC/DE courses

    Students in Missouri have a new option to help them pay for college courses during their junior and senior years of high school. The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development (MDHEWD) has a new state financial aid program to reimburse students for the cost of dual credit and dual enrollment courses. The application for the scholarship went live today, and high schools have been notified of the application opening.

Governor Mike Parson delivered the 2022 State of the State Address to the Missouri General Assembly on Wednesday evening.

The State Historical Society of Missouri St. Louis Research Center to host the final tour of the Missouri Bicentennial Quilt Exhibition

Quilt blocks representing St. Louis and communities across the state are featured in the Missouri Bicentennial Quilt, which will be on display for a final stop in the St. Louis area at the State Historical Society of Missouri St. Louis Research Center, 222 Thomas Jefferson Library, University of Missouri-St. Louis.
