Lady Cards open with sweep at Grandview

    The Steelville High School girls basketball teams opened their 2021-22 season at Grandview on November 22 and returned home with a pair of wins. The varsity Lady Cardinals were also scheduled to play Dixon on November 23 but that game was canceled.

SHS boys take two over Dixon

    A large crowd was on hand at Simmons Auditorium at Steelville High School to see the Cardinals open the 2021-22 basketball season against Dixon on November 23 and they didn’t go home disappointed. The Cards swept the Bulldogs, winning by a total of 40 points.

Cuba football players earn post-season honors

    Several Cuba High School football players have been honored for their work on the gridiron this fall. The Wildcats were selected to the 2021 Central Missouri All-District Football Team and the Missouri Independent Team.

Wrestling underway, but girls season is canceled

    With a talented freshman class coming up to fill in spots, St. James High School wrestling head coach Beau Moreland feels good about the balance of his varsity lineup heading into this season.
