    Cuba High School sophomore Kaylee Fulliam was the individual girls champion at last week’s Gasconade Valley Conference Cross Country Meet, which was hosted by Bourbon and held in Steelville on October 22. The boys and girls teams from Steelville both won the team titles.

Football Wildcats get big win over Principia

    Although the Wildcats football team was winless heading into last week’s final regular season game, the Cuba High School varsity squad had been steadily improvement over the past month. The Cats finally put it all together at home last Friday, defeating Principia 56-6 to get their first win of the year.

    In the championship game of the St. James Seventh-Grade Tournament Thursday, Oct. 14 the host St. James seventh-grade girls’ basketball team knocked off Owensville 37-16.

    A seven-run second inning for the third-seeded Owensville Dutchgirls sealed the fate for the sixth-seeded St. James Lady Tigers 12-3 in the opening round of the Missouri Class 3 District 3 Softball Tournament, held at the Sullivan Bank Ballpark, Thursday, Oct. 14.
