Two Lady Wildcats qualify for state meet

    Cuba High School runners Kaylee Fulliam and Melayna Brown are headed to the Class 3 state finals. Both advanced to state by finishing in the top 30 at the Class 3 District 2 meet held last Saturday at Clever.

Four Cuba players named to all-GVC softball team

    Four Cuba players were honored on this year’s Gasconade Valley Conference all-conference softball team. Only Vienna, Belle, and Cuba play fall softball, while Bourbon and Steelville play in the spring, while Viburnum does not play.

Volleyball Lady Wildcats get district win

    The Cuba High School varsity volleyball team earned a first-round victory in the Class 3 District 8 tournament at Blair Oaks on October 21 before losing to top-seeded Blair Oaks on Saturday to end the season. The Lady Wildcats finished the year with a record of 13-12-1.

    Cuba High School sophomore Kaylee Fulliam was the individual girls champion at last week’s Gasconade Valley Conference Cross Country Meet, which was hosted by Bourbon and held in Steelville on October 22. The boys and girls teams from Steelville both won the team titles.

Football Wildcats get big win over Principia

    Although the Wildcats football team was winless heading into last week’s final regular season game, the Cuba High School varsity squad had been steadily improvement over the past month. The Cats finally put it all together at home last Friday, defeating Principia 56-6 to get their first win of the year.
