Inquest jury hears extensive evidence before ruling homicide was justified

Six Crawford County jurors selected by the sheriff ruled the shooting death of Justin King was justifiable homicide at a coroner’s inquest held on Tuesday, January 11. King’s friends and family members at the hearing were outraged with the verdict and had to be quieted by law enforcement as jury members were ushered out of the courtroom at the end of the day. The next day, the prosecuting attorney issued a release stating he would not be filing any charges related to the death.
