Bourbon High School will be hosting the Third Annual Battle in Bourbon Invitational boys and girls basketball tournaments next week. Action is slated to begin on Monday.
The boys will be the first to hit the court with four games scheduled on Monday with top-seeded Richland will take on eighth-seeded Viburnum at 4 p.m. Third-seeded Bourbon will play sixth-seeded Laquey at 5:30 p.m. and fourth-seeded Crocker will meet fifth-seeded Liberty at 7 p.m. Seventh-seeded Cuba will close out the first round against second-seeded Valley at 8:30 p.m.
The second round of the tournament is scheduled for January 5 with losing teams meeting in the consolation semifinals at 4 and 5:30 p.m. and the championship semifinals at 7 and 8:30 p.m. The final round of the boys tournament is set for January 7 starting with the seventh-place game at 4 p.m., consolation at 5:30 p.m., third-place game at 7 p.m., and championship at 8:30 p.m.
The girls tournament will get underway at 4 p.m. Tuesday with top-seeded Liberty taking on eighth-seeded Valley at 4 p.m. Second-seeded Laquey will play seventh-seeded Bourbon at 5:30 p.m. and that will be followed by third-seeded Grandview against sixth-seeded Belle at 7 p.m. The final game of the night will start at 8:30 p.m. with fourth-seeded Pacific against fifth-seeded Viburnum.
