The St. James VFW Post 5608 will hold an appreciation dinner for all who served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan or any other country, and as first responders who have served since September 11, 2001.

Dinner will be served on Saturday, September 25, beginning at 4 p.m. at the post, located at 18775 State Highway KK in St. James. Free dinners will be given to all service men and women who have served since September 11, 2001, and will include barbeque pork steaks, sides, and refreshments. Dinner will be served until all the food is gone.
The post hopes those locally who have served in operations or as local responders since 9/11 and invites the community to come out and celebrate the efforts those individuals have done to serve their country.
All are welcome and Post Commander William Grable said he hopes to see the community come together to support those who have served and to pay respects to the many area veterans who helped fight for American freedoms.
